Dr. Kecia R. Evans, Ed.D, LCPC, CADC

Dr. Evans is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), with a Master's degree in Community Counseling and Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision (Ed.D). In addition, maintaining a Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CADC). Dr. Evans has an extensive professional history in hospital, community based and substance abuse settings, including serving as the director of outpatient services. In addition, working as a professor in the field of Human Services and Addiction Studies.


Dr. Evans goal, as a psychotherapist, is to ensure appropriate therapeutic treatment is in place and readily available for those in need. Dr. Evans believes that providing a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment is most important to a strong and thriving therapeutic relationship. Clinical interests include clients struggling with work/life balance, relationship issues, and those experiencing anxiety and depression, often in tandem with underlying substance issues.


Dr. Evans enjoys working with a diversity of clients, and conducts therapy based on the client’s goals for treatment. As such, sessions are relaxed and informal, grounded in trust and a positive working relationship so that treatment is individualized and effective. An integrative treatment approach is primarily utilized emphasizing person-centered, solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
