Dr. Kecia R. Evans, Ed.D, LCPC, CADC

Dr. Evans is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling and a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision (Ed.D.). Dr. Evans also holds a Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CADC). With extensive experience across hospital, community-based, and substance abuse treatment settings, Dr. Evans has served in leadership roles, including Director of Outpatient Services. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Evans has taught as a professor in the fields of Human Services and Addiction Studies.

 

As a psychotherapist, Dr. Evans is committed to ensuring that effective, evidence-based treatment is accessible to individuals in need. Central to this work is the belief that a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment is essential to building a strong and successful therapeutic relationship. Clinical interests include work–life balance challenges, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring substance-related issues.

 

Dr. Evans enjoys working with a diverse client population and tailors therapy to each client’s individual goals. Sessions are relaxed and collaborative, emphasizing trust and a positive working relationship to support meaningful and lasting change. An integrative treatment approach is utilized, drawing primarily from person-centered therapy, solution-focused techniques, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
